Our school is located in East Point, Georgia, in the United States of America. Each grade level of students are resource-taught one day a week and come from predominately challenging socioeconomic, African-American and Hispanic backgrounds. Even though the students are instructed, encouraged, and enriched with some Science/Technology resources, they may not have varied access and exposure to personalized learning tools in- and outside- of school community. The students are eager and creative thinkers, but need 21st-century technological tools to foster their higher critical thinking, advanced research, and creative problem solving skills. Exposure to S.T.E.A.M./technological tools such as live classroom pets, planting doc stations, and coding robotics tools are welcomed. Our school would greatly benefit from innovative tools to improve interests, motivation, and test scores.
