My students are expected to do so many things in English Language Arts. They are six and seven and they are expected to have mastery over their motor skills in order to form letters and numbers, understand and apply spelling patterns for words, recognize, read, and spell words that do not follow typical spelling rules or patterns, and so much more. The LCD writing tablets and magnetic letters and numbers will be used with small groups of students to help them master these skills. They will be able to draw pictures to match words, and they can easily erase a word if they make a mistake. The magnetic letters and numbers will let the students build words and math sentences. Additionally, they can change out letters in words to make new words and switch out numbers to make new number sentences. Both of these materials help me differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all my students.
