All supports go to a K-5 classroom for students with Multiple Disabilities. We are a functional life skills curriculum classroom and need a wide variety of equipment and adapted materials to have access to learning like a lightbox, sensory items, voice output devices, and adapted materials! My students have limited vision, speech skills, motor skills, and mobility so I am constantly hunting for engaging ways for them to learn and participate in all settings, in and out of the classroom. Adapted materials are key for us to learn and participate in inclusion. My students require these enlarged and adapted materials to learn basic skills such as colors, shapes, and numbers. We will incorporate these materials and supplies into our hands-on lessons to allow the students to use their fine motor, vision, and communication skills to learn and understand their adapted curriculum.
