This year was my first year teaching the 3rd grade and my students would greatly benefit from fresh, modern books that are suitable for third grade. I've learned what books the students are drawn to and which they avoid, therefore this list includes books I know my next group of students will enjoy. I chose many books that are a part of a series so that if a student gets engrossed in a book and finishes it, they can pick up the next one. My overall goal is to get students to fall in love with reading while they are in my classroom!
