Thank you for visiting our page! The students I serve will be delighted that you are considering adding to their education. I'd like to introduce you to some of my students. Spanish 1 students are mostly 14 and 15-year-old 9th graders, who have challenged themselves by stepping into my simulated immersion classroom. We speak only in Spanish, except for certain cultural information, and students are rewarded immediately with pesos for participation, and in the long run with a much greater speaking ability than with non-immersion. Crafting Club students are in grades 7 or 8, and are given the last 30 minutes of the school day to participate in an interest group. We have a group of 7 girls and 4 boys right now, and they work together on their projects. They chose Crafting Club because they love to create. This spring, they will be entering a cooperative art project in an auction to raise funds for our school.
