One of the most important tasks a child needs to master during early childhood years is the use of fine motor skills along with basic educational skills, sorting, letter and number recognition, just to name a few. Unfortunately some students with autism and/or students with learning disabilities often struggle. The items that I have chosen to bring into my classroom are great items that can help close in that gap in a fun, creative and playful way. The goal is to squeeze, sort, play, lace and engage my students in a fun and peaceful environment while trying to foster a love and desire for leaning.
