We are a hungry group of K-5 musicians at a brand new school, seeking amazing opportunities to channel our creativity and energy, and continue with a zest for learning about music! . As with any new program, we are working diligently in the building stages so we can reach Mastery levels in music, and eventually, look to create multiple performing ensembles. With that being said, our students at Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish will be introduced to instruments (including those used in a Marching Band), however, we will not have them or to learn to play them. As an alternative, Kindergarten and 1st grade will learn the basics of Music and movement, grades 2 and 3 will study instrumental music using classroom instruments, and 4th and 5th grade will be the schools chorus.
