My students need to practice each day to become strong readers and develop math strategies. Not all of my students have books at home to read daily or manipulatives that can help to develop their mental math skills. Students need additional time and resources to allow them to practice and that is what these materials do for my students. Nevada State Law requires that students must be able to read by Grade 3 and develop mathematical concepts. This is the first year that most of my students get to experience an educational setting and I want to give them all the opportunities possible to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
