STEM Bins are ideal for a hands-on approach for a variety of uses including early finishers, math interventions, and fine motor skills practice. I have been looking for ways to increase learning for my early finishers that don't involve more "work." Instead I want to challenge my students to think divergently, inventively and creatively while constructing models. My students are 100% on task while engaged with these STEM boxes. Each STEM box will include one item, such as the Magformers set, the Legos, the pattern blocks, or the IQ Builder. These items will be used to construct physical models of printed objects. Each child will have the opportunity to pick his/her choice of STEM box and a set of STEM Bin task cards and choose what to build. The products that I selected will help my students use their imaginations while creating new models. These STEM Bins are a great motivator for children to complete their work. Every child has opportunity to experience success at his/her level.
