Within my classroom, students need to feel in control and focused. They are presented in a variety of obstacles, tasks, projects, throughout the day and year, that allow them to think critically and problem solve independently and collaboratively. With this independence in mind, students are better able to get their work done when they are comfortable. With these seating options, students will be put at ease, and be comfortable in any learning environment or setting around the classroom. All the seating options presented give students a new chance to complete their work in the best spot that works for them. Also, when students work collaboratively they need to be easily able to move into a group, work together, and talk to one another. The seating options that are presented make the collaborative efforts easy, collaborative learning more consistent and familiar to the students, and collaborative skills simple to teach.
