Oftentimes, experiments, projects, and even our daily interactions require the use of technology. Our society has become reliant on it, especially in schools and most workplaces. Therefore, it is now one of many skills in which our students must become proficient. Tablets would allow me to integrate technology in my class in a way that will promote active student engagement while building upon necessary 21st century skills. Students would be able to collect/graph/analyze data, collaborate, record videos, create presentations, develop better quality projects, and have access to tools that are only available on mobile devices. Lastly, a tablet will allow me as the instructor to have more interaction with my students. I could cast the screen from the tablet to my SMART board, delivering lessons while circulating the classroom and providing students with the assistance they need. This would ultimately help to maximize their learning time as well as their achievement.
