More than half of the students at this school are performing below grade level in mathematics. Students receive necessary supplies needed to learn essential, real-world, math skills. Unfortunately, students are unable to practice what they learn outside of school. I work with students who score in the bottom percentile on state tests and local benchmarks. These students need continuous practice outside the classroom. Manipulatives will be sent home with students, according to the unit being taught. Students will have the opportunity to work on what they learned in school, and show their parents/guardians what they are learning in school. Students can practice their skills with siblings, as well.
