The calendar math activity is one that my students will use on a daily basis. It reinforces skills that students will use in the classroom as well as in the community. The regular use of a calendar time routine is important for students development in number sense, flexibility, and fluency, which will support students' knowledge on any mathematical task. As a teacher I look forward to seeing the growth in students mathematical skills from the implementation of calendar math into our daily routine. It is definitely a useful tool that all of my students benefit from not only while they are in kindergarten but throughout their entire educational experience.
