In my classroom we meet each morning at the front of the room and build our classroom community during morning meeting. We also meet at the front to start most lessons! Having a cozy space that makes learning more enjoyable is a must! What is better than curling up on a cozy rug with a good book?This rug will create a calm environment where my students can thrive during whole group and independent work! The colors are not distracting and the design will help when we need to have our own space for learning. The book boxes will give my students the opportunity to be independent and choose a space to read their books. The readers notebook helps them store all the new skills they learn as budding readers! These notebooks will be the cornerstone of all the small group lessons we will work on together during our reading time. All these together means that my students will have what they need to grow as a reader in 2nd grade!
