All of these texts will be inventoried and placed in our school bookroom. This is where teachers check out sets of books for their small group reading instruction. Current research notes that students must be reading decodable text to practice the decoding rules they are learning. Phonics readers strongly benefit all of our ELL and Special Education learners. Our school has very few decodable texts available for instruction therefore presenting the need for phonetic readers. All 499 of our students will benefit from these readers during small group instruction for years to come! Just imagine the massive number of students these books will help.
