My students do not currently have access to iPads at school. Using the desktop computers in our class is very difficult for them. Their hands are too small for the mouse and the screens are hard for them to view. They are very familiar with the touch screen technology from devices at home. My students will use the iPads to do literacy and math learning activities. These activities will support their learning by exploring phonics, letter recognition, and number knowledge. This will support our goal of Kindergarten readiness and reading. IPads will help students become more confident in their learning. They will feel like they can spend more time focusing on the activities, rather than becoming frustrated with the desktop computers. This will help them become more excited about school and make learning more fun!
