I have the pleasure of working as a speech and language pathologist with loving, kind, hardworking, middle school students. My students do not fit the stereo-type of difficult coming of age children. For instance I am greeted warmly everyday. My charges evolve from people with difficulty reading to life long learners who can understand figurative language in literature. The young adults I serve come to me eager to work and seeking to improve their lives. Despite the culture in our school of achievement the students still lack cultural exposure and opportunity. This gap can be filled with help from kind donors. These young people deserve more experiences and chances that donor choose can bring. Thanks in advance for touching children's lives.
