These materials will have a drastic difference in my students lives and learning. It's extremely hard to learn when you don't have food, water, and a safe place to stay. My students face unimaginable adversity in their daily lives and my classroom is a place for them to decompress and get excited about learning. Many students are grade levels behind and having quality math materials will improve their understanding and show them they matter and that they DESERVE to have the basic resources. These children are extremely intelligent and observant, they recognize that their experience in school is vastly different from the other children they see on social media who don't need to work at the age of 12 just to afford their school supplies.
