Makerspace Mornings would allow the sparks of creativity to fly! If funded our students can begin their mornings by working on yesterday’s engineering project, start a new piece of artwork or participate in a collaborative conversation on how to plan and design their next project. We’re looking for ways to not only increase engagement, but to inspire our youngest learners to grow and experience learning opportunities outside of the norms of worksheets and rote learning.
These materials would provide those opportunities for students to increase their critical thinking, strengthen their problem solving strategies, and build stronger collaboration and social skills.
We know this model is good for kids and embraces the type of developmental approach that integrates academic and social learning in a way that is fun and motivating! As teachers, we want to provide these opportunities, but it is financially difficult. That’s why we need and appreciate your support as you consider donating to our project for our K thru 2 classrooms.
