A day in my classroom looks like this: Students constantly on the move and chairs being shifted from place to place. There are students that prefer sitting on the floor or prefer sitting on the stools we currently have in our small group center. I have students who are not able to sit still (who can blame them?) and are targeting their attention towards where they can move to next or what movement to do with their bodies. The wobble chairs and desk bands will help to shift students focus back to the learning activities! I can see it in action now! Students quickly grabbing their wobble chairs and moving it to the next learning center or station. There is no time for distractions or students having to carry the heavy desk chairs throughout the classroom. This will minimize the time spent getting all students situated between activities, thus, engagement time will increase. The headphones have a similar impact. Students are able to listen to the computers without disturbing their peers and are able to get lost in their activities without any outside noise to distract them. These headphones will help build their road to success and improve their reading and writing skills. These materials will improve my students school lives by being able to have access to the supplies that will encourage and help them become successful members of society.
