I am always looking for ways to help my students learn thinking about the whole child. Some of the challenges my students face revolve around self regulation skills. The goal of the items in this project is to help further transform our learning environment to make it more conducive for the students to learn. The light filters will help to change the mood and reduce glare of our classroom florescent lights. The timers will be used in our calm down area for students to help build self regulation and encourage students to rejoin the class when they are ready. The Noise machine is to help filter some of the excess sound that takes place in and around our school building. The goal is for students to feel relaxed and at home in our space.
