My Grade 10 Modern World History students are a diverse and curious group of teenagers, typically around 15–16 years old. They are developing critical thinking skills and beginning to understand the complexities of global events and historical narratives. Many are learning to analyze cause and effect, consider multiple perspectives, and engage in discussions about power, conflict, and social change. While some are naturally drawn to history, others may need more guidance to see its relevance to their lives. They often respond well to interactive activities, storytelling, debates, and connections between past and present events. This group brings a variety of cultural backgrounds, interests, and learning styles to the classroom, making for a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
