Please help us get a Light Table Sensory Bundle so we can work on regulating our emotions. We all feel emotions every day, positive and negative. Most students can cope in a healthy way. But there are others, because of trauma, abuse, or physical limitations, who just need the tools to help them be successful. The light table and manipulatives will serve as a hands-on, sensory time to help students calm themselves in order to allow their brain to assist them in learning. When students dip their hands into the lit bin, the sensory rings and balls will allow the brain to calm down so the student can focus on the task at hand. Students can stop worrying about their issues, feel positive, and use their words to help them state their needs. The suicide rate among children is alarming, and by using self-regulating tools such as a sensory light table, students will learn to cope with their situations in a healthy, safe way.
