Shhh! After all, it is a library! I am the new (well, not really new...I have 16 years of experience as a media specialist, but due to budget cuts I've now been assigned to two schools) media specialist at a rural, Title I elementary school that serves 115 students in PreK-5th grade. I am the 4th media specialist at this school in 3 years, and I'm trying really hard to build a vibrant, exciting library program that provides technology resources that appeal to today's students and their learning styles. So far, the students have been incredibly responsive to my attempts to modernize the book collection, update the decor, and incorporate computing technology into the curriculum. Yay!
