My students use Lexia and i-Ready programs daily on Chromebooks and the school’s computer cart. Most of my students come from homes of low socioeconomic status and therefore cannot afford to purchase their own headphones. Lexia and i-Ready programs play directly off of the computer’s speakers if headphones are not plugged in. I only have four pair of headphones in the classroom which is not enough to go around. As you can imagine it is very distracting for the students to hear other students’ computers talking at the same time, especially when trying to decode words and learn phonics! My students deserve headphones that allow them to work quietly and independently without any distractions. Please dontate to my project and help my sweet class hear!
