We are a team of teachers preparing students with disabilities to live independently and to gain competitive employment after high school. Students in our special education classes use technology to reduce the barriers of their disabilities as they prepare for jobs and adult living. For students with mild to moderate cognitive disabilities, transitioning from high school to adult life is very challenging. Supervised access to the internet and using technology tools in the high school classroom provides real-world and relevant experience as students take steps towards their post-high school goals.
