I work in a high poverty area in Oklahoma with 21 kindergarteners. Many students don't have meals except for the free ones provided at my school, let alone books and learning resources. At the beginning of each year, I have several students who have never held a book before or even listened to a story. Giving my students the opportunity to learn while exploring in a safe environment is my daily goal.

About my class
