My students attend a California charter school, which means that all of the resources they have access to are either purchased by their teacher or graciously donated. These kids are just awesome. They are so inspired and motivated that they rarely ever acknowledge the barriers they face as students in an inner-city school. These are children who love to read and, as their teacher, it is my job to nurture every part of that.
