"Pandemic", the boardgame, is a team game in which players play different roles of Centers for Disease Control workers who are fighting a global disease pandemic. There are no individual winners in this game because, in the event of a real disease outbreak, the only winners are the survivors. Players have to work together, coordinate, and cooperate in order to save the world from a dreaded PANDEMIC! To encourage cooperative learning and problem solving I will be using team-based game play to build a learning environment that is supportive, collaborative, and creative. Great scientists work on teams to problem solve, invent, and innovate.
