Unfortunately, at this time, my students have very limited access to music in my classroom as we only have my laptop speakers to project music. The students have access to technology once per week for 30 minutes in the school computer lab. Occasionally, I allow individual students to have access to my personal iPad of iPhone in order to use educational apps. The students look forward to their time in the computer lab each week. The educational games have graphics and music that keep the students engaged and help them retain the information they are learning. Using the iPad or iPhone apps add an extra sensory level element for the students, as they can physically touch, tap, and move the different items within the educational apps as they are learning. Many of the students that I teach do not have access to technology in their homes, so I feel it is very important for them to gain exposure to technology during their time at school.
