Low sounding instruments provide the foundation for music. Bass bars will complete our set of Orff barred instruments that are used primarily by second grade to reach the four second grade Music Standards set by the state of Colorado: 1. Expression of Music: Using voice and instruments to expressively perform simple songs., 2. Creation of Music, creating musical phrases in the form of question and answer phrases, 3. Theory of Music, beginning notation and rhythmic patterns, and 4. Aesthetic Valuation of Music, respecting the contribution of others in our music projects. Our school is arts-based. Won't you help us to enhance the music program at our school?
