My students are from a high poverty area in Washington, DC. All students are eligible for free lunch. They are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder with behavioral and communication needs. Their complex learning and language needs require differentiated and repetitive instruction in small group instructional settings. They need picture cues to enhance their learning during reading, writing, communication, social skills and, daily living skills. The combination of pictures and words help them make the connection to learning the concept.

About my class
