Using these books and comprehension practice cards in small group instruction in my class will help my students learn and grow in their reading skills. I will be able to teach standards of 5th grade reading by supporting them with high interest low readability books, which will help my students feel successful in reading. It will also help them enjoy reading by providing them books they can read independently and in small groups. This will translate into more confident readers and students. Reading is the key to success in school and these materials will help me provide my students the skills to be successful.

About my class
