My first graders attend a public school in MN. There are 21 students in the class this year. Of the entire student population, about 30% are in the category of "free/reduced lunch". All students can benefit greatly from hearing many stories read to them, but especially this specific population, as hard working parents may not find time to enjoy books with their children.
