My 2nd grade students come from various multicultural and economic backgrounds. With the economy getting hit as hard as it did, parents aren't able to donate basic items like glue sticks. I like to incorporate art lessons weekly in my classroom. Some students learn best through hands on activities and i find that this is a good way to foster their learning. Many of my students are bright individuals who just need that extra help when it comes to reading. I would like to assist them with reading on their own by having a classroom listing center for everyone to use. Also, my students learn to tell time while in 2nd grade. I have been teaching for over 10 years and the clocks that i did have are too old to be used. Some of the hands have fallen off and a new set of individual clocks for students to learn time on, would greatly benefit everyone.
