My students attend all day prekindergarten in an inner-city, elementary classroom four days per week. My students all qualify for free lunch and their families live below the poverty level. Many of my students are not allowed to play outside of their homes, as their parents fear for their safety. They are also all dual language learners and are being exposed to English for the first time. They are, however, eager to learn and LOVE school.
