My K friends need lots of literacy and math practice activities that are uniquely matched to their needs. Kids love technology and find it very engaging. iPads + great apps + Teacher Know How adds up to AMAZING Remediation, Support, and Enrichment opportunities for kids!! I've spent a lot of time researching iPad apps and finding ones that are both fun and educational. Technology helps me meet the very diverse educational needs and interests of my little kindergarten friends. While my class has been lucky enough to have a some iPads, sharing them between 20 students hasn't given my kids the access they need. I'm constantly having to choose between a friend who needs more time practicing a critical skill and a child that is ready to use the iPad to work on a project. Who deserves to wait? Having 4 additional iPads will mean more opportunities for my kindergarten friends to have access to the remediation, support, and enrichment they need.
