Independence is a tough thing for my students to achieve, so any help I can give them is essential! Imagine having every aspect of your day controlled by someone else.....now, imagine how great it would feel to have some time to yourself working at your own pace and level. My students range in grades from kindergarten to 5th grade. That is a variety of ages and learning styles. Most of their day is controlled by a strict schedule and routine. This allows them to be successful in every way they can. The one thing they have in common is their love for computer time. Their technology time allows them to be independent and work at their own pace. In order for this to be successful with so many age groups, they need their own headphones and mice for their laptops.
