Some of my students have never traveled outside of their city. They enjoy learning in class, but have not discovered how learning can improve their lives and take them on trips around the world. They live in a neighborhood that wants to see the students excel, but doesn't do the best job in teaching them the steps to excellence. Once they step outside, they are faced with many of the hardships that come along with living in a low income neighborhood.
