Hello, my name is Kristi Ward and I am a sixth grade science teacher! This is my tenth year teaching 6th grade science. I am one of those people who believes I did not choose teaching but it chose me. It is crucial to me to engage the future of tomorrow and get them interested in science for 6th grade and the rest of their lives. It is my job to ignite a passion for learning and making the content relevant for the students. The curriculum for our grade level has recently changed and will be fully moving to Next Generation Science Standards in the near future. Life science is a large component of our curriculum. The students complete in depth studies of the organ systems, their connections to one another, and their role in homeostasis for the body.
