My students are a great bunch of kids at a Title 1 school. They've been really working on being kind and compassionate to others. They come from a variety of backgrounds. I have kids who do not get breakfast at home but instead eat at school and quite a few on free/reduced meals. Some of my students need some extra attention because there just isn't enough at home. I have students who regularly do their homework and read to their parents, but I also have students who do not have that parental support at home and struggle with their homework. Many students struggle to learn when they are sitting in regular classroom chairs, but give them a ball chair or alternate seating and they are more on task and ready to learn.
