My 7th grade math students are inquisitive, motivated, and tactile learners when they are each able to manipulate items at their own desks. We are at a low income school where over half of our students are on free or reduced breakfast and lunch, and for some families, buying school supplies is a hardship. Our building has more feeder schools than any other middle school in our town with over 6 elementary schools sending students to us. With such a diverse population, it is difficult to reach all students with only textbooks to use.

About my class
