I like to describe my middle school studies as puppies with big paws. They're goofy, awkward, and wonderfully big-hearted, despite a heap of seriously adult problems. They want to learn to read and write, but have a history of frustration in school. When I show them that there's nothing wrong with them, that they CAN learn, and they start to see their own growth, they shine. And one success leads to another, then another, and another!

About my class
