My students are from a rural school district where they meet many socio- economic challenges. I love to give them opportunities to explore their voices and use their creative energy to learn about the world around them. Teaching them to collaborate and problem solve are real world skills they can use to achieve success throughout their school career and beyond. I enjoy seeing their "light bulb" moments when they get an idea and the pride they show when their idea comes into the world through their own hands. This is why I teach.
