The majority of the students in this class come from low income families. Several of the students come from the poorest part of our city. My students are not given a lot of opportunities to explore new things outside of school due to the economic factors. They are very eager to learn and they learn better using auditory and tactile senses. When they use a hands-on approach to learning they retain the information better. They love to try new things.
