I currently teach a group of young students who are a deeply emotional group. There are many who are moved by simple experiences they encounter. It is also very common for my students to have never partaken in outdoor activities and experiences that are common things I grew up with. They are incredibly proud of their work and learning each time they experience something new and thoroughly appreciate their learning. Many of them have IEP's, are in need of therapeutic and mental health counseling, or require one on one support from individual work with a teacher to succeed. They are all incredibly bright and bring their own genius to the classroom and deserve every opportunity we can provide them.
