My school is a small rural district in Michigan with a large Hispanic population and one of the highest unemployment rate in the state. Over 50% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. The amazing thing is that we are very competitive scoring above or at state average on all grade level state and national tests. Our high school and one of our elementary school's wer voted to the "Beating the Odds" list because of our performance and risk factors.
