We are a group of 28 third grade public school students in the State of Idaho. If you wonder why we are asking for pencil sharpeners, Google school funding in the State of Idaho. I have taught here for 20 years, and I am amazed at how the needs increase but the funding diminishes. I wish I could handle this seemingly small need on my own, but being recently widowed my family income has dropped to the point where I can't fund my classroom needs as I used to be able to be. That is a sad dilemma for me, but sadder for my students who are desperate for some working pencil sharpeners.
