"Pictures are worth a thousand words, but actual models are worth infinity and more." My students are energetic and full of questions that are relevant to real life. They have grown up in homes where many of these questions are not answered due to lack of knowledge or resources. My students attend a charter school whose mission is to graduate students from high school prepared for college. The neighboring schools are historically low performing and have low graduation rates. My students have chosen to come to our school for a better education. My students need to be exposed to technology, but many of them can't afford their own calculators let alone graphing calculators!
