Most of my students receive free or reduced lunch. They struggle with family issues and resisting gang affiliation. Through all their struggles they come to school each day and do everything I ask of them. They are wonderful children that do read, but are in desperate need of new material. My current library is old and the books are falling apart. I have spent countless dollars on books and yet I still feel I have done them a disservice. I have always loved to read and truly want my children to get hooked and love reading as well.
